Planning a unique wedding starts with ensuring that you find suppliers who you know that you can trust
One question which comes up repeatedly when I talk to couples planning their wedding is how they can make their wedding ceremony unique and special. My answer to this is to have a celebrant ceremony as the person who will be sharing your reason to be married, your commitment, hopes and dreams for your future is the individual who will be holding your wedding ceremony. No matter how many guests you choose to have, they will, or should be, the people you want around you as you commit to each other and share your love story. How I work? 10 exciting reasons to book me as your celebrant
Five definite ways to ensure your wedding ceremony is unique and special
Make sure your ceremony reflects your values and your reason to get married. Your ceremony is the most intimate and heartfelt part of your wedding day and should never be the boring part which you and your guests want to get over with! Once you have completed the legal registration of your marriage elsewhere, check this Gov.UK link the legal requirements , you are free to craft with your wedding celebrant the most perfect, unique and special celebration of your love which will leave all your guests talking about how special it was for years to come.
Whether or not you want to include traditional elements to your wedding ceremony or create your own traditions, you can be as creative and innovative as you want. I will help you with suggestions and gentle questioning to bring your ideas and dreams to life ensuring your wedding ceremony is uniquely you!
Language – the words of love are what it’s all about
I will always write your wedding ceremony with absolute attention to the words of your love story. Your ceremony should be crafted as a true reflection of you as a couple and every word should be a testament to your why. Why you are together, why you have chosen to get married, why you are standing up ( or sitting down) in front of your favourite people pledging your commitment to each other.
I am a storyteller who uses words to create your ceremony. Always unique, always you, with passion, energy and enthusiasm. Why would you settle for anything less on your wedding day?
Walking down the aisle should be a unique and special moment in your ceremony
Choose to walk down the aisle or whatever space you are planning to have your wedding ceremony to reflect your unique style. Walk in traditionally with one person walking to meet another, have your first look before the ceremony privately and walk in together. Or why not walk in with a parent, a best friend or your children? There are no rules, just the two of you on your most special day.
Include people you love in your ceremony
Your wedding ceremony can flow to include people you love taking an active and unique role. this can be collectively with a group vow (my personal favourite as it brings a fabulous energy to the ceremony!) symbolically with a ring warming ritual or with the beautiful tradition of people giving their own readings.
If, sadly there are people who are not able to attend or have passed away, I can work gently with you to make suggestions about how they too can be included in their absence creating memories which will last a lifetime.
Personalise your wedding vows
In British Law there are set words which declare your intention and ability to legally marry. They are short, perfunctory and indeed necessary. Yet, once these have been undertaken with a registrar ( see my information about how easy this is here the legal requirements ) you are free to truly personalise the wedding vows you say to each other on your wedding day. I will write you words of love, vows of commitment, oaths of eternity. For a truly unique and special wedding ceremony I can help assist you craft your own wedding vows and weave these into your wedding ceremony.
Include your own personal touches!
Unlike a registrar wedding ceremony, with a celebrant the sky is not the limit and you can add in any fun energy you could possibly dream of to your wedding ceremony. Fancy a shot of your favourite tipple half way through? No problem with me! Perhaps a sing along or a quiz? Perfect and definitely unique. Can you not imagine having the ceremony without your four legged pal? We can do this.
