My story

Ceremonies by the sea

Qualified Celebrant

I am here to guide you through an important chapter in your life’s story.

So, it’s important that you know a bit about my story: my life, my likes and loves, and my values.

I live by the sea in Dorset, on the world-famous Jurassic coast, with my partner Mark, our ancient pug dog Peanuts and feline friend Odin. Being near water has always been important to me and before the sea I always lived as close as I could to a river. I find it soothing, inspiring, ever-changing and life-affirming.

I have always been told that I write visually, think creatively, smile widely and laugh loudly

As a family we love to laugh, cook, dance and be involved in our community. I passionately support local businesses and am part of a group of fabulous friends who work locally in the wedding industry. I love being able to introduce them to you on my page ‘Keeping love local’.

I am blessed with four gorgeous stepsons and a bus full of nieces and nephews, godchildren and young friends. Life, as they say, is good. Very good.

I also know that I love unconditionally, live unashamedly and relish new experiences and people

As a celebrant, I draw on a wealth of experience from my professional, as well as my personal, life. I have worked in worldwide events for a major entertainment company (colleagues included Mr & Mrs M. Mouse and a few princesses). I relish public speaking and for many years wrote tours and brochure copy for travel publications.

My working life started at the Victoria and Albert museum in London in the costume department. I love talking wedding outfits! With a Masters degree in the art market, one of my passions is collecting and selling antiques.

All of this is the heart of me, who I am. I use my skills and creativity for all your ceremonies, creating unique moments in time to cherish on your day and forever more.

After all, this is not my story, it is yours.

Testimonials

Juliette was kind, sensitive and thoughtful throughout the planning of my father’s funeral. Despite the challenges that the COVID-19 restrictions presented, Juliette gently took time to get to know the man my father was, through considerate communication with us, at a difficult time.

As a result, she delivered a warm and personalised tribute for my father as we said our final farewell to him. Thank you.

– Phillipe Foti –

As people who love the great outdoors it made sense for us to have our daughters naming ceremony in the open air. We didn’t want anything stuffy or formal, just a celebration with family for our little girl and what she represents in the world.

Juliette understood what our girl loved (fairies and horses!) and incorporated those alongside the more adult themes. A relaxed, informal event that welcomed the future for our daughter. Thank you.

– Nina and Mark Rees Howe-Davies and their daughter Frankie –

Juliette is literally the best celebrant you could ask for. She is fun, kind, loving, entertaining and authentic. She is an absolute joy to work with, bringing creativity, sensitivity and plenty of smiles and
laughter. Which is why we have asked her to be our celebrant for our own wedding next year.
